At the last November meeting of each year elections are held for the 5 Executive Board positions: President & CEO, Senior Vice President, Director of the Treasury, Director of Communications, and Director of Community Relations. These positions are held for 1 calendar year beginning on January 1st.
Candidates wishing to run for a position for the 2014 calendar year must fill out the below application by 12:00pm on Friday November 1st. All candidates will then be required to make a speech to the club on the evening of November 13th followed by a secret ballot. The 2014 Chapman Club 55 Executive Board will be announced Thursday, November 14th.
Responsibilities of Each Position:
President & CEO: Overseas all other Directors and general club operations. Also meets with the Advisory team at least once a year and attends events on behalf of the organization.
Senior Vice President: Chief Event Planner and assistant to the President. Overseas all club meetings and other events not belonging to another Director and delegates to the event planners to ensure timely and effective implementation. Executes responsibilities of the President & CEO in their absence.
Director of the Treasury: Manages all of the Organization's financial transactions. This includes but is not limited to collecting dues, managing event fees, submitting funding requests, and overseeing fundraisers.
Director of Communications: Overseas all of the internal communication for the organization. This includes but is not limited to attendance, monthly newsletter, alumni newsletter, OrgSync, and 25 Live room reservations.
Director of Community Relations: Manages all external communication with the organization. This includes but is not limited to Social Media Endeavors, Publicity Events, and Promotional Materials.
